Pacific Beach City Council is trying to have it knocked down and a new one put up! They're also trying to eliminate ALL alcohol on the beach! EEEagh! Time to party. Right next to the tower, there are lots of firepits. The 26th, the last Saturday in August. I'm bringing wood, some food, an underwater camera, and short palm logs to chop into Tikis. All day, 7:00am - midnight. Take 5 to Sea World Drive, to West Mission Bay/Mission Beach, directly to the ocean. Turn left at the roller coaster on Mission Blvd., follow it to the end (at the two Stop signs) and take a right on North Jetty Road. Park there. You'll see the tower, it's huge. If you want to help out bringing snacks, etc., gimme a buzz.
