Here are the answers: The lake is Lake Mahkeenac, a.k.a. the Stockbridge Bowl, which is minutes away from the center of Lenox, MA -- and just steps away from Tanglewood. The white mansion up on the hill is known commonly as Serenac (also spelled Serenak), and was formerly the residence of bassist and esteemed Boston Symphony conductor Serge Koussevitzky.
