A few wrinkles here and there, which could be expected for the first year, but overall a well planned event. The locals were out in numbers at the luau many of whom were older and have lived on the island for 20-30 years, could tell stories for hours and have probably been to more luau's than my years on this planet. As MC Kukulele kept things well lubricated and offered his own special blend of wild and wacky, cheeky, friki, kahiki, squeaky tiki. The Dynotones just plain rocked the place (twice) putting their stamp on Catalina in a major way. Ape was in fine form until 'the man' came and shut it all down at midnight-just kidding Jerry. Unfortunately some of the pictures didn't come out well, or I'd have more. Good time. The worst part was coming home Sunday night knowing Blue Oyster Cult was playing the next night. Damn! More cowbell BOC...
