Living in Manhattan I run into celebraties on occasion:

-Bill Maher walking in midtown.
-Adam Sandler in a Restaurant.
-Georgia Engle (Georgette in Mary Tyler Moore show) and Tony Bennett live in my neighborhood (Central Park South) and I see them on the street pretty regularly.
-George Burns on a park bench.
-Bruce Springsteen sat next to me in a restaurant.
-Meg Ryan bumped into my girlfriend as she left a restaurant.
-Toby McGuire walking in the village.
-Mike Myers walking in the village.
-Colin Quinn in a cigar shop.
-Woody Allen filming a movie.
-Lindsay Lohan filming a movie across the street from my building.
-John Lithgow walking down the street
-David Bowie in Rockefeller Center
-Christian Slater crossing the street
-David Letterman several times (Ed Sullivan Theater, where his show is filmed is a few blocks from me)
-Mariah Carey outside the Ed Sullivan Theater
-Jon Bon Jovie in Times Square

I probably forgot a few.
