Hello all,

My name is James and I have been fortunate enough to come into possession of a demijohn (4-5 litres) of the original naval rum handed out to the sailors in the British Navy prior to 1971. It was given to me by my father who happened to be in Gibraltar when the last stores of the rum were being collected. He purchased a gallon still in its original wicker basket surrounding a stone jar with a wax seal. I was given the demi-john for my 21st birthday and as no connoisseur am looking to sell it on.

Reading the comments on this forum I assume that you lot know what you are talking about when it comes to rum and wondered if you knew anyone who might like to buy it.

Please feel free to contact me via my email address.

Cheers,
James
