As a student, I developed a taste for Owd Roger (8%) served in pints of course. A lunchtime session on Owd Roger would always end in utter disgrace around the streets of Newcastle. That actually wasn't the strongest beer in that particular pub. That was 11% but only served in small bottles. It tasted like Marmite. These days my favourite is Double Chocolate Stout, which is like Guinness but with loads more taste. I think it's only about 5%, though. Trader Woody |
