Yep, Tetley's is very widespread over here as it's a classic bitter. There are many more interesting or better quality ales, but it's a beer that seems to travel well, at least within the island.

Those fish enzyme thingys are used in most beers here, so vegans beware. (They are called finings?? Something like that) It's not as though you'd ever realise they have been used, though.

German lagers have a 'purity law' where no additives can be, er, added, but I don't think that applies to their dark beers.

The warm beer deal puts a lot of people off when they have been used to being served beers at just above freezing temperature to mask the wierd chemical taste of the beers. Any beer tastes ok if served brutally cold.
