The reporter has a few facts mixed up: Punk music 'born in Britain'...don't think so. And is it my imagination or did the media take the things that young people were doing, musically that is, more seriously than they do today? I think older people were confounded by some of this stuff. Same for the music in the 60s. Could that possibly happen today? My vote is NOPE!
