I'm happy to report that while I couldn't round up any fellow Houstonian TC-er's, I did manage to spend a lovely afternoon and evening with Chip.

And while we didn't get to go to any Houston tiki bars because every one is closed :( , we did manage to make a trip which made this Florida boy happy.

Did we go to a cool antique mall and scores some tikis?
No.
Did we go see where an old bar once stood?
No.

We took a trip to Spec's Liquor Warehouse.

Part kid-in-a-candy-store, part orphan-child-adopted-by-rich-couple-on-his-first-Christmas-morning, Chip's eyes were very big and his smile was very broad. "Ooh, you have THIS? This is almost impossible to get in Florida! Oh, look at the price on THESE! These are like $25 in Florida!"

Andy, y'all's credit card bill is gonna be a little high this month - sorry.

We came back to my house around 4:00, where Chip (itchin' to bust out some of his new ingredients) made up some PERfect mai tai's for my sweetie and me. I love a good mai tai. Then a round of yummy Lanihonis. At this point, I had to call Basta! I did not want to be the hostess that passes out at her own party when the sun is still out, fercryinoutloud. Off for fish tacos.

It was a lovely evening and I only wish Mz Andy could have been there, and that I'd had a pool (for an Esther Williams dive) so that I could beGIN to repay the fun I'd had at their swank pad on the Home Bar Tour in 2005!!

Come back soon, Chip, and come next time, Andy!
