You are really seeing a lot of the finer detail. Your mug is Really Excellent and would have Ben a bit better had you waited until I was done, but I Know how that just Dosent happen when you get the fire, you Gotta go with it NOW. Still your mug is awfully close to the real thing. I do not plan to stain it since this Mahogany has so much beauty on its own. I just have Shellac on it now as a sealer. When the poly/varnish goes on, the wood will begin to darken and with age it will darken even more until it is a deep reddish brown. Thanks for noticing all the little stuff Conga, Thanks for the kind words, I'm Sure I could find somewhere to put a basket ball hoop, since they are playin a game of one on one there in the back lot. I could have found lots'a room for all kinds of stuff but thought "Enough is Enough" and finally called it DONE! Thanks Conga, I Know you understand. Tomorrow he gets one more shellac and then urethane. GMAN can maybe have him next week by wed or Thursday.
