Has anyone tried making allspice syrup? I stumbled upon a recipe and think this might be one of the ingredients used in some Navy Grog recipes as a stand in for the ultra rare Pimento Liqueur. Place: Heat until sugar is dissolved, simmer for 2 minutes. I can't wait to try it. I've also tried the recipe listed above and it was very good.
