They just don't get it, do they? - General Tiki

Our house, cars, furniture,appliances, etc are all "old". I am lucky that my mom "gets it", she has found some great stuff for us and made us an awesome vintage bird of paradise barkcloth quilt. My husband's side is another story. They can't seem to make the distinction between mid-century atomic/danish modern/tiki and craptacular Happy Days, reproduction diner stuff. I about died a huge lighted blinking car hop wall hanging arrived in the mail. I know they mean well but come on! I'm glad they live 1000 miles away so they will never know we got rid of it.
