Suzywong, it's my opinion that your concern for the morale of our troops is genuine, but to equivocate all opposition to war as a failure to support the troops could make you an easy target for very cynical manipulation.

Today CNN showed a peaceful scene in San Francisco of demonstrators both for and against the war. Both sides said they support the troops, so hopefully our troops can now take heart. A few of us are starting to act respectfully of what this country is about! A round of mai-tais for all of them!

CNN also interviewed a former US Air Force general criticizing the our undertaking this war without a UN coalition. Hmmm. You think he doesn't support or care about our troops? Or do you think he just wants to get on tv?

Please don't try to make our troops feel like the antiwar movement is automatically against them. We need to exercise our freedom to disagree on war more than anything else. Your guilt about the troops stance isn't in anyone's best interest unless you have a contract to make weapons for the military.
