I've had a lot of hippie kids visiting Hawaii ask me where to get tiki pipes and comment on what a great bong certain mugs would make... But aside from that, I would agree with the above- maybe the cali hypocrites believe in the power of authentic tikis, and think by letting you fire up your homemade kitsch tikis, you'll unleash some angry ancestral spirit on them. Silly hippies.
