Ive just remembered a poem stuck to our fridge by the late, great UK comedian, Spike Milligan. Based on a true story I believe...

Green earrings I bought her from Maori Shores.
When I returned, she had gone
and taken her ears with her.

Earrings made from Pacific Jade - you could see right through them.
Why didn't I see through her?
