Big production cd's and full color glossy booklet inserts cost mucho bucks, and my friends and I end up just ripping the songs to my external HD for storage, and for the ipod, which dj's the annual luau anyway. Sometimes downloading and getting to play those songs instantly is a huge plus! Pressing vinyl is another story.... Also: I've never seen a power surge wipe out a hard drive. I trust my hard drive more than a misplaced and scratched cd.... Cheers!
