I have owned a version of the same mermaid soapdish for some years, but thanks to the above post by Psyco Tiki D, I learned that mine has evidently been captured and sanitized by missionaries. Someone has painted a swimsuit over the bare breasts - and they have also painted open eyeballs onto the formerly closed eyelids. I thought mine was kind of neat when I saw and bought it, but now I learn that the native format is much more seductive and dreamy. Damn missionaries! Vern
