The "Mermaid" soapdishes appear to have possibly been an on-going ceramic class project...

The one on the left has a marking on the bottom "Kim '73". The one on the right does not have any markings. The one in the middle has a smaller "clamshell" and is marked "Copyright 1958 Freeman McFarlin USA. This one has a hollow back, whereas the other two are solid. Holes in the bottom indicate this may have been used as a nightlight/soapdish or possibly a planter/soapdish?
