-Yes, I'm glad they're not "Kahuna" Red eyes! "Orh-Hoe". Mum was given the "Mother-of-Pearl" Pendant & Bracelet. I remember having a "Maori" Stamp Licker, too, do any Kiwis out there, 'Mem that particular piece of Culturally Offensive Curio?
It was a tin can, had a Tattooed Maori face on it & by winding a small hand lever, the Tongue would protrude in & out of a slit cut into the tin with some spongey surface coating that would remain moist(like the sponge dishes in the Post office)that You could rub the stamps on then attach to the envelope! I search the Antique & OpShops for one, to no avail! Under a Kangaroo Scrotum Tobacco Pouch, or Kangaroo Paw Bottle Opener, no doubt! What I used to love most was the "Hungis" that my Brother would have in his backyard!
