Thanks Amy. Just a quickie: Rescued another of the 80 from a dusty grave. He was 90% there and just needed a bit of a clean up & sanding. I was reluctant to finish it as it is made from a peculiar type of stone. It is Kokopu or trout stone after the resemblance to the markings of the native fish of the same name. This particular piece was sadly a little 'duller' than usual & I knew it would have a hard time holding/achieving any kind of polish. Proved me wrong in the end although I did have to give it a bit of persuading. Currently available someplace where New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectables, sporting goods & more at low prices can be found... ahem. The slings and arrows of Tiki-Kulture eh? Who'd of ever guessed? Peace y'all. Tama :) |
