I , myself would like to learn more about the care and feeding of palm wood.

Seriously! How do you tell whether you've got a good log or not? How can you tell whether it's rotting inside or if there's some bad crackage going on? How long does a log need to dry out before carving? We need a tree guy to give a talk.
