My rockler said if you bring in sample wood, they can try out some stuff for you, don't know if it applies to the dyes, but it's worth a try.

Thanks Mieko. I really like their green. I think that's the color I'll be going with in April if Dave or Bill is willing to give me some major chainsaw help. I've got a big log that I want to split in half and make a couple of flat backed pieces from.
