Thanks fer the add, glad I saw this on the last day! I hadn't read the whole thread before an' thought it was carvers only.

Luchadore? I can definitely see where you are coming from, he does resemble that remark!
He reminds me alot of NZ Hei-tikis an such with the beak protruding out over the mouth, probably has a long lost connection, the reptilian/bird elements in Maori art are very compelling.

Paipo, thanks mate! The Moai-Aku piece is 16" sqr, the other two are 12" by 16". They might not cost much if I put them on the slow boat to Oz or NZ ? The recipient might hafta wait a couplah mo's though. They weigh 3.5 lb's total unpacked.
