According to the above . . . I've been using my muddler ( of solid mahogany, Circa 1923) completely the wrong way for 39 years! The 'working end' of my muddler is actually concave so I always used it the other way . . . seemed to work much better that way (especially when mashing mint leaves for a Mojito) . . . it's the way my father taught me and since I'm not a professional bartender/mixologist . . . who cares? Is there a fine or something for using a muddler upside down? |
