Found this at an antique shop last weekend. Having gone to Sam's Seafood and Hawaiian Village many times in the 60's as a kid, it stirred something deep within me. The menu is in really great condition - including a small cigarette burn on the back - ah those were the days. Must be from the early 60's because the interior of the menu has snapshots and a story showing Sam's Seafood and Hawaiian Village from 1920's, remodel, and then the fire that destroyed it in 1959. Indicates the perseverance of the Katsaris family to keep the place going. I'll post some interior shots if anyone wants a looksee. [ Edited by: CaliforniaTiki 2007-04-23 11:55 ] |
