Just finished 'Over the Edge of the World: Magellan's Terrifying Circumnavigation of the Globe' by Laurence Bergreen I don't know what I thought I knew about Magellan but this book was full of surprises. Makes Thor's journey across the Atlantic look like a vacation. This book has everything: mutiny, murder, cannibals, sex and real adventure. I can't think of a better subject for a miniseries. Let's read it again! |
