Yup!

It has been confirmed! For all you comic fans out there, and readers of this comic rejoice!

here's the latest poop-scoop: The Hollywood Reporter says that Frank Coraci (The Waterboy, The Wedding Singer) will direct Hawaiian Dick, a supernatural private eye thriller being produced by Practical Pictures' Craig Perry and Quattro Media's Jim Strader for New Line Cinema. Set in 1953 Hawaii, the film tells the story of a down-on-his-luck big-city detective who gets involved in a kidnapping case of a local island girl who turns up dead but won't stay that way. The script, by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (Freddy vs. Jason), is based on the 2002 comic by B. Clay Moore and Steven Griffin. Johnny Knoxville was at one point pegged to star. -Thanks to 'Superherohype' for the heads up!

The release date is still underwraps and this movie is still in the process!

Just thought you guys would like to know!

Johnny Knoxville ??? Ugh, well, the 1953 Hawaii setting will be fun to watch...Knoxville, on th other hand will be painful.

Yeah, Tikiyaki i'm skeptical too, however Mr. Knoxville is just rumored. They haven't officially found a guy to play Byrd.
