They have a simplicity (without being in any way crude) and an ancient style which really appeals. Rather than using metal, why don't you carve yourself a nice wooden trough/bowl with suitable motifs and fill it with sand (maybe someone could send you some genuine Hawaiian sand...)? Then you can push any number of these little fellas into it on whatever angle you like! PS I want one of these, please make more!
