I agree with you Monkeyman!

I'm in the process of switching our shipping from USPS to FedEx. Now FedEx ground is cheaper than Priority Mail, and you get a tracking number too!

The big issue is that the Post Office has switched to dimensional weight for anything larger than 12"x12"x12". We used to be able to ship a long, but light weight item for $9 via Priority, but now the same thing costs $30! FedEx ground is the way to go!

Ikitnrev, you're a little behind the times there. Flat rate envelope is now $4.60, flat rate box is now $8.95. I usually find that if something fits in the flat rate box, many times it is under 3 pounds, so if you put it in a regular Priority box, it would still be cheaper. Your item has to be over 3 pounds for the flat rate box to actually "save you money".
