Nice use of the colour change Ben. Id be a little wary of putting my holes through that oxidised stone though; it doesn't have quite the same strength as the more crystalline stone.
I like the way you've left a natural/organic edge at the bottom; a nice subtle 'truth to materials' touch. Sometimes a flaw or natural edge/surface can be deliberately left in as a positive confirmation of the material. A perfect piece of jade can easily be misidentified as plastic or glass, etc.

Im still amazed at how fast you can get a form shaped out! Well done.
