Fight the Movement! Yeah! Seems like the tools have a mind of their own sometimes...
I like this little fella a lot, although to me he doesn't feel Hawaiian at all - still very much a hei-tiki but of his own breed/tribe. Just the simple act of reversing the head/body proportion creates something new. He looks like the old pieces that were made from recycled adzes, but upside-down.
I can sympathise with the arm-knot dilemma too - if you find a solution, please share it with me. I have a piece in mind that will require similar adornment...(but it won't have arms!)
