I'm a California (Los Angeles, San Diego) transplant in Maine. Redondo Beach, Torrance, Carson, Gardena, Hermosa, Manhattan - and Hollywood (naturally) are all old stomping grounds. I remember the Hawaiian Bakery, isn't that on Western Ave (been here 8 years now, and some specifics escape me)? I grew up going to Tony's on the Pier with my parents. Every special occasion! It was such a gas to look at all the decor. This was all through the 60s and 70s. As a kid to me, it was reminiscent of The Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland. :) If you're having a cocktail party, I'm there! Yeah, it'd be an expensive little jaunt, but what the heck, right?? :wink:
