We hit a local thrift store today. Just when it looked like we were going to get skunked, the wahine spotted a Don the Beachcomber coconut mug. The mug is in good shape, but the paint seems faded. Lots of hard use, perhaps?

We also stopped at an antique store and found two matchbooks. One is from the Royal Hawaiian, in Laguna Beach. The other is from an apparently hitherto undiscovered Bali Hai. This one was located at 13223 Washington Blvd., Culver City, California. I couldn't find anything about the place on TC, Critiki, and in Tiki Road Trip. Has anybody ever heard of this place?
