I would need a picture.
But I would say can you make 4 or more strips
And glue them in one at a time?
Or you could do a bunch of random patches if you will
glued together.
I might make new guts (3 rings) glue/wire inside then cut at will.
Just keep looking at it.
The answer will come.
I don't think the snow bulb would work.
Bulb is too small, and the slats are too wide.

I took your advice and scored some Thai reversible paper... the Copper tone is sweet. I had to remove the inner workings of the trap, but managed to reattach the inner rings with the wire removed in the process. Lined the trap with the paper, ran a line of glue to hold it in shape, and covered the bottom with the same paper. Looks sweet!

I took a flickering led lamp from a paper lantern I bought at Target (what I would give to get a few more of these flicker lamps!) and it works like a charm... though a bit dim. I have a 40watt candelabra bulb on standby... it really brings out the color. When the Den is done I will decide what wattage to make it.

Thanks for the advice.

Now I need to start making Puffer Fish Lamps again. :)
