An outcry of frustration went through the Tiki and LA modcom community when the Playa Del Rey Polynesian Village apartments (built in 1962 by Armet & Davis), THE best maintained haven of Tiki Modern apartment architecture at the time, was sneakily destroyed by a developer in the late 90s. In memoriam of this paradise, (and as thanks for your CD :) ) I will post a lengthy visual dissertation on this urban oasis here later.
