I have a single one very similar to these, but without the bowl-like top of the mug-part, and a matching wooden mug that goes along with it. Always thought it was a giant ladle for a huge punch bowl...

here, here!!! i have a pair as well... also without the flaired out tops and mine are black...also the carving on the handle is slightly different in pattern but they do have tikis all over em',,,,
