TikiRoyale... Don't know anyone really on the T.C. I haven't been around that long. Always interested in meeting new people and getting/giving new ideas. I cruise the S.A. looking for tiki and now my compulsion is so deep I have begun pointing out Tiki to my wife and children. In movies, magazines, grocery stores ahhhg!
My 1st tiki score was a liquidated warehouse of rain forest display props. Palm trees, fake plants, thatch and grass, carved, hand painted parrots, giant fake rocks. More stuff was thrown away than I could take and that's probably a good thing for my marriage.
Second score was really this fountain and a couple mugs and small block carvings collected from the thrift. This fountain is really in remarkable shape. Original finish and hardly any chips or gouges. Right now it's in my garage looking not to fierce, which is a good thing or my 3yr old son would probably have acted out a Batman episode on it.
BTW does anyone know the best stain color to match up/touch up the original finish??? Looks kinda like a mahogany/ebony color to me.
