That bamboo kinda reminds me of the graphic use of bamboo in the opening pages of "Kon Tiki". It is too bad that no color photo of that amazing sign has surfaced so far, I would love to see it lit up!
I am using the Tahitian Village complex as an an example for the devolution of Tiki in TIKI MODERN:
The restaurant at the end became "La Zona Rosa", a hispanic disco. |
