I figure being a bit crazy and being an artist are sort of mutual requirements. One only works well in our society if you have the other to go along with it. And, thank god I can make art, cause otherwise I'm too weird to be employable for anything else! Here's the first layer of the ocean. I think it's gonna be purple to green, with reflected surfaces showing the orange of the sunset. Still not sure how hot to hit the edges of the clouds. I want it to be a gorgeous sunset, but not to fight too much with the objects that will be in the foreground. Sheesh, on my monitor that last pic looks like crap! It looks much smoother in person.
