Thanks Clarita the Candle maker. One of my objectives when I pick up a board or log is to make a carving that doesn't look like a board or log. I want to let the carving be free of those bounds. Thanks

Hi Howland, formerly Surf-N-Turf, the Palo Escrito or Mexican Rose wood IS really beautiful and just about Anything you do to it will turn out beautiful. As far as the "Taking a whacking with that", I'm sure it can be arranged. :lol: :lol:

It was a rainy, yucky day and I caught a cold from Sherry so didn't carve today. Maybe tomorrow, but I doubt it. Thanks for looking and sharing.
