People LOVED it. It was over the top, actually scary, genuinely funny, real sexy and exciting. Right from the opening song to the sign reading "Trespassers Will Be Eaten" every scene was a home run. I listened to the voiceover comments on the DVD last year and the stunt problems were crazy; the speed boat chase was shot just like you see it on film; there were no FX of any kind. That's why the rest of the Roger Moore ones were so doubly bad, they were a letdown from L&LD AND they just sucked in general.... Hey, did Burt Bacharach compose the Casino Royale theme song? I thought Herb Alpert did, but it looks like he just played it.
