Mr. Smiley and I went on Tuesday night for dinner. We had a long discussion with some of the management, it is still a work in progress; especially on decor, lighting and music. My big decor complaint is a lack of texture. i guess its OK to modernize things, but the lack of surface texture makes it look a bit too flat and plasticy which tiki should not be, even if it is modernized! They are fully aware of some of the issues and they are working towards fixing. One big issue is the lack of clay ovens...sad.

But the service is totally top notch, just what you expect from a TV.

The food was really yummy, although in our case it came out too fast... Cocktails are OK, they do have a limited menu, but it hits the classics, and they were good. And they do have mugs for sale, including some special las vegas 2007 tapa print glasses..Smiley picked up a few.

Here's me enjoying sea bass, it was really yummy.

Here's Smiley eating his wok cooked beef, which was yummy too!

Here's Half Pint enjoying the banana fritters with some of his new friends...the bananas were the best!

Beggars can't be choosers, so for us tiki deprived Vegas folks, I am sure we will be back.
