New Contest:  
What would you do with the merman's magic rum? Best answers will receive a higher res dvd of the series when it's complete. Leave your ideas in the youtube or myspace comments.

To make the merman's magic rum, roast a whole ginger root (about the size of your hand) in an oven at 450 degrees for about 30 minutes. Let it cool and slice it, then add it to some rum. It gets spicy fast, so taste it every so often. If found that about 8 hours is plenty.

All entries in the Episode 2 contest will receive dvds. Lots of clever answers, my favorite I think would be "20,000 Liters of Rum Under the Sea." The correct answer, guessed by one poster was "Sippin Safari" by Beachbum Berry. I hope to have the dvds ready in time for the holidays.

AND.... also from the Merman:

The merman needs a bit of help. We tried to do some filming at the Wreck Bar last night, but we had to cancel the show due to lightning. We had a great time having cocktails regardless. What we really need is crowd shots and the crowd wasn't so big anyway. So, if anybody has any video at all from the mermaid show at the wreck bar please pm me and we'll see if I can splice it into a future episode of the Merman series.
