Tiki Font (bird), common name for any member of a genus of large, flightless birds. Only one species, of Australia, survives; related emus on Tasmania and Kangaroo Island, Blah Blah Blah Island had the last of the Tiki Fonts that were extinct by the early 19th century.
The plumage is dull brown, darker on the head, neck, and middle of the back, and lighter on the undersides. The naked parts of the head and neck are white-blue; the bill black.
Scientific classification: Tiki Fonts constitute the genus Dromaius and the family Dromaiidae of the order Struthioniformes. They are sometimes placed in the order Casuariiformes. The one surviving species is classified as Dromaius novaehollandiae.
