I have the same problem. Here in Europe it's impossible to get Lemon Hart from Demerara, because here they distribute the Jamaican (which is great), so I use El Dorado when a recipe calls for Demerara. And if it calls for Demerara 151, i Use the 80-proof anyway, because although you don't get the "punch" that an overproof rum gives you, at least you have the Demerara flavor.

But you're lucky if you got the El Dorado overproof, I didn't knew about it! I'll have another look at my liquor store.
