Thanks Matt, Paipo, and Bigbro...Maybe it means this guy left his wife back in the U.S. for the war and is now fishing in New Zealand? Carroll For Cuts may have been some Cut & Paste company back when they still did that.

This was found at a swap last year. Pulp art for True Magazine from the late 40s. Has kind of a carribean feel to it but the guy reminds me of something Leeteg would be doing in Tahiti. Painting is about 18"X24"
