All the musical acs IN HAWAII who have recorded this song (which is still popular here among local artists) get the English lyric incorrect. The mainland/European groups never seem to have this problem, probably because they would just KNOW the first line doesn't make sense any other way. I really don't know who started it arong..maybe Hui Ohana, I'll haveto check. But since the 1970s EVERY local act sings & records it the wrong way. But, hey...we all know how Israel srewed up the lyric to "Over The Rainbow" & I imagine all the local acts will sing THAT incorrectly as well. Oh well.
