Domenic and I wrote about Exoticon in our new book "Pop Surf Culture" (Santa Monica Press), out June 1st. Domenic went to the event and said it was amazing. Great description of the elements that were colliding there. I always wish I went to that event, but alas, I was living on the East Coast, in college studying the heavies of existentialism and philosophy, only dreaming about California then, listening to Martin Denny and "Pet Sounds."
