When you are fishing for a spot to call home here in So Cal, give the city of Torrance a try. (The Valley and Pasadena tend to get hot in the summer).
Check out yahoo's maps and type in Torrance and the zip 90505. You see the city is close enough to where ever you want to go with access to both the 405 and 110 freeways.
A majority of apts. can be found on Anza Ave, which runs through the middle of Torrance.
