Their severs send out HTTP requests to websites (not from anyone visiting the site, but from the site's servers themselves) with the refering information being whatever site they want you to visit. I heard they're targeting Blogs this way, and also random websites. It happens to my sites quite a bit it seems, but never to a page that was "members only".
